The Park and Recreation Advisory Board advises the City Council and the City Manager on matters pertaining to recreation programs, including senior citizen programs. The Board also advises the Council on the planning, development, improvement, beautification, equipping, and maintaining of public parks, playgrounds, recreation facilities and resources. Members serve 3-year terms.

The Code Enforcement Board hears alleged violations of the City Code regarding property maintenance standards as investigated by Code Enforcement staff. Board members serve 2-year terms.

The Civil Service Commission is a citizen board mandated and governed by Washington State statutes.
This commission works to ensure that hiring, promotions, and appointments to the ranks of the Police Department and Fire Department are made in a fair and unbiased process. The Civil Service Commission may also review disciplinary actions should an employee appeal such actions to the board. Members serve 6-year terms.

The City and its consultant have scheduled a public meeting on Wednesday, June 20, 6:30pm in the Pasco Police’s Community Services Building, at W. 215 Sylvester, to get input on the City’s new logo process.
The public’s input is vital to the design of the new logo. The meeting on June 20 will have BrandCraft and the City discuss plans for the direction of the logo redesign, based on already received public input. At this meeting, there will not be any actual designs, just information showcasing the direction of the design. Community members in attendance will be able to review project information, provide any feedback they have on the design direction, and even submit their own design ideas! After this meeting, the design process will begin.

The Planning Commission makes recommendations to the City Council on the city's Comprehensive Plan, the Subdivision Ordinance, and Zoning Ordinance of the Municipal Code. Along with workshops on other land use-related issues, the commission holds public hearings for planned-unit developments, preliminary plats, re-zones, and special permits.
